OVERVIEW OF THE USE OF TEACHER TEACHING METHODS IN CIVICS LEARNING AT INSAN KAMIL AMPIBABO MIDDLE SCHOOL

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the method used by Civics teachers at SMP Insan Kamil Ampibabo, the type of research used was descriptive qualitative. The location of this research was carried out at Insan Kamil Ampibabo Middle School. The total number of subjects in this study were Civics teachers, school principals and 4 students at SMP Insan Kamil Ampibabo, using data collection techniques namely observation, interviews and documentation, based on the analysis of observations, interviews and documentation, the results of this study can be concluded that The learning methods used by Civics teachers have varied, such as the lecture method, question and answer, discussion and assignment. Insan Kamil Ampibabo Junior High School teachers in every delivery of subject matter the teacher always applies learning methods that are in accordance with the subject matter so that students can understand and understand the subject matter easily. By using several methods or varied methods, the shortcomings of one method can be covered by the advantages of other methods. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning method used by Civics teachers at SMP Insan Kamil Ampibabo in the teaching and learning process varies. The learning method is expected to allow students to understand the learning material provided by the teacher optimally. The lack of learning media at SMP Insan Kamil Ampibabo is an inhibiting factor in applying learning methods in the classroom, schools are indeed required to have learning media such as focus on helping and making it easier for teachers to carry out the learning process so that the material does not need to be dictated but is presented through power points so that students are motivated and active in following teaching and learning.
