Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi hubungan sudut pusat, panjang busur, dan luas juring di SMP Negeri 9 Palu. Satu diantara cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hubungan sudut pusat, panjang busur, dan luas juring dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW. Karena dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW, siswa dapat menemukan sendiri sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hubungan sudut pusat, panjang busur, dan luas juring di kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 9 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni  (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hubungan sudut pusat, panjang busur, dan luas juring di kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 9 Palu melalui langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) Think, siswa membaca LKS dan membuat catatan kecil secara individu, (2) Talk, siswa berdiskusi dengan teman kelompoknya untuk membahas isi catatan kecil, dan (3) Write, siswa mengkonstruksi sendiri pengetahuan sebagai hasil diskusi.

Abstract: The problem of this research is the low of mathematics learning result of students on the material of center angle relationship, arc length, and sector areain 9 Junior High School Palu. One of the ways to improve student learning outcomes on the material ofcenter angle relationship, arc length, and sector area is by implementing the implementation of cooperative learning model type TTW. Within the TTW cooperative learning model, students can find by their own so that learning becomes more meaningful and impacts on improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, the researcher conducted the research with the aim to describe the implementation of TTW type of cooperative learning model to improve student learning outcomes on the material of center angle relationship, arc length and sector area in class VIII C 9 Junior High School Palu. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The design of this study refers to the design of classroom action research (PTK) by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which are: (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the implementation of TTW type of cooperative learning model can improve student’s learning outcomes in the material of center angle relationship, arc length and sector area in class VIII C 9 Junior High School Palu through the following steps: (1) Think, students read LKS and make individual notes, (2) Talk, students discuss with group mates to discuss the contents of small notes, and (3) Write, students construct their own knowledge as a result of discussion.
