PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER (NHT) BERBANTUAN BLOK ALJABAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI PEMFAKTORAN BENTUK ALJABAR DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 TAOPA

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan blok aljabar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Taopa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dan desainnya mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, dengan tahapannya yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjeknya adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 35 orang siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan blok aljabar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Taopa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar, dengan fase-fasenya yaitu: 1) penyampaian tujuan dan motivasi siswa, 2) penyajian informasi, 3) penomoran, 4) pengajuan pertanyaan, 5) berpikir bersama, 6) pemberian jawaban dan 7) pemberian penghargaan.

Abstract: The objective of this research was described the application of cooperative learning model in type of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with the assist of algebra block to improved the learning outcomes of VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Taopa in Factoring the Algebra Form. In this case, the researcher applied Class Action Research (CAR) and the design referred to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model which covered planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were 35 students. This research was divided into two cycles. Each of these cycles included two meetings. Moreover, the data were collected by the researcher through observation, interview, field-note taking, and test. The result of the research showed that cooperative learning model in type of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with the assist of algebra block can improved the learning outcomes of VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Taopa in factoring the algebra form through some phase: 1) elaborating the learning objective and motivating the students, 2) presenting some information, 3) numbering, 4) questioning, 5) heads together, 6) answering and 7) giving appreciation.
