PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SCIENTIFIC UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL (SPLDV) DI KELAS VIIIc SMP NEGERI 19 PALU

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi SPLDV. Satu diantara cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi SPLDV dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran penerapan pendekatan scientific. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan scientific dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi SPLDV di kelas VIIIc SMP Negeri 19 Palu melalui langkah-langkah pendekatan scientific sebagai berikut: (1) Mengamati (Observing), siswa mengamati permasalahan yang diberikan, (2) Menanya (Questioning), siswa menanyakan hal-hal yang belum dipahami, dan (3) Menalar (Associating), siswa menyimpulkan materi yang dipelajari, (4) Membentuk jejaring (Networking), siswa mempresentasikan hasil diskusi, (5) Mencoba (Experimenting), siswa mengerjakan latihan soal.

Abstract: The Implementation of Scientific Approach in Improving Student Learning Outcomes on Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) In Class VIIIc SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Skripsi. Mathematics Education Study Program, Mathematics and Science Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under the Supervision of H.Abd.Hamid and Linawati.The problem in this study was the students' short learning outcomes in Math specifically in lesson on SPLDV. One of ways to improve student learning outcomes on SPLDV lesson was by implementing the application of scientific approach..The type of research was a classroom action research (PTK). The design of this study refers to the design of classroom action research (PTK) by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which are (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the application of scientific approach was able to improve the students' learning outcomes in SPLDV lesson in class VIIIc SMP Negeri 19 Palu through steps of scientific approach, as follow: (1) Observing; students observing the problems given, (2) Questioning; students asking about things they have not understood, and (3) Studying; students inferring the lesson learned, (4) Networking; students presenting the results of the discussion, (5) Experimenting; students accomplishing the exercises on related lesson.
