PENERAPAN METODE PENEMUAN TERBIMBING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOMPOSISI DUA FUNGSI PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPA SMA GKST IMANUEL PALU

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar komposisi dua fungsi pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA GKST Imanuel Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan  Mc. Taggart, yakni; (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar komposisi dua fungsi pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA GKST Imanuel Palu melalui tahap-tahap sebagai berikut: (1) perumusan masalah, guru memberikan informasi pokok-pokok materi dan memberikan LKS kepada siswa, (2) pemrosesan data, siswa mengamati, menalar, dan menganalisi data berupa masalah yang disajikan dalam LKS, (3) penyusunan dugaan sementara (konjektur), siswa menyusun dugaan sementara dari LKS yang dikerjakan, (4) pemeriksaan dugaan sementara, guru memeriksa hasil dugaan sementara siswa dan memberikan bimbingan seperlunya kepada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan pada saat mengerjakan LKS, (5) verbalisasi dugaan sementara, siswa mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya di depan kelas dan (6) umpan balik, guru memberikan soal latihan tambahan kepada siswa.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the application of guided discovery methods that can improve the learning outcomes of the composition of two functions in grade XI students IPA SMA GKST Imanuel Palu. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK) which refers to the design of Kemmis and Mc research. Taggart, ie; (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the application of guided discovery method can improve the learning result of the composition of two functions in the grade XI students of SMA GKST Imanuel Palu through the following stages: (1) problem formulation, the teacher gives the material information and give the LKS to the students, (2) data processing, students observing, reasoning, and analyzing data in the form of problems presented in the worksheet, (3) preparation of temporary suspicion (conjecture), students making temporary estimates of the work LKS, (4) examination of interim suspicion, (5) temporary alleged verbalization, students present their group work in front of the class and (6) feedback, the teacher provides additional training questions to the students.
