ANALISIS PENYELESAIAN SOAL TINGKAT TINGGI PADA MATERI LUAS PERMUKAAN DAN VOLUME PRISMA OLEH SISWA KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 4 PALU

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi hasil analisis proses penyelesaian soal tingkat tinggi siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Palu pada materi luas permukaan dan volume prisma. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Palu dan dipilih 1 orang siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Palu yang berkemampuan tinggi sebagai informan. Pemilihan subjek ini berdasarkan diskusi peneliti bersama guru matematika mengenai siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi dan mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal luas permukaan dan volume prisma untuk soal C4 (menganalisis), siswa mampu menggunakan konsep apa yang diketahui, siswa mampu  menghubungkan masalah yang terdapat pada soal dengan materi luas permukaan dan volume prisma, siswa mengetahui rumus luas permukaan prisma, siswa menuliskan rumus luas permukaan prisma dengan tepat dan mampu membedakan unsur-unsur prisma serta simbolnya. Dalam soal C5 (sintesis) siswa mampu menggunakan apa yang diketahuinya, siswa mampu mengaitkan  hubungan antara luas permukaan dan volume prisma serta unsur-unsur prisma serta siswa mampu membedakan unsur-unsur prisma serta simbolnya prisma dengan benar.

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the results of the analysis of the process of high-level problem-solving class IX students of SMPN 4 Palu on the material surface area and volume of prisms. This study used a qualitative approach. The subjects were students of class IX SMP Negeri 4 Palu and have one person class IX students of SMPN 4 Palu high powered as an informant. Selection is based on the subject along with math teacher researcher discussion regarding students with high math skills and able to communicate well. The data were collected by the method of test, interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in solving the surface area and volume of prisms to about C4 (analyze), students are able to use the concept of what is known, the students were able to connect the issues contained in the problem with the material surface area and volume of prisms, students learn the formula for the surface area of the prism, students write the formula prism surface area to the right and is able to distinguish the elements of prism and symbols. In the matter of C5 (synthesis) students were able to use what he knew, the student is able to link the relationship between surface area and volume of prisms and prism elements as well as students are able to distinguish the elements of prism and prism with the correct symbol.
