PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI LINGKARAN MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TWO STAY TWO STRAY (TSTS)

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Masalah utama pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa di kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu pada materi lingkaran. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran  kooperatif tipe  Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu pada materi lingkaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu terdiri atas empat komponen: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi lingkaran di kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu, dengan mengikuti proses pembelajaran sebagai berikut: Pada fase menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, peneliti menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran yang ingin dicapai. Pada fase menyajikan informasi peneliti menyajikan materi lingkaran. Pada fase mengorganisasikan kedalam kelompok, peneliti membentuk kelompok yang heterogen yang setiap kelompok beranggotakan 4-5 orang. Pada fase membimbing kelompok, peneliti memberikan bimbingan kepada kelompok yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaiakan soal-soal LKPD. Setelah menyelesaikan LKPD siswa menyebar ke kelompok lain dengan 2-3 anggota tinggal di kelompok yang bertugas untuk membagikan hasil LKPD mereka ke kelompok yang datang bertamu dan 2 anggota kelompoknya bertamu ke kelompok lainnya yang bertugas untuk mencari dan memperoleh informasi, setelahnya informasi atau jawaban LKPD yang didapat dari kelompok lainnya akan di periksa kesesuaiannya dengan jawaban kelompok. Selanjutnya pada fase evaluasi peneliti meminta perwakilan kelompok untuk mempresentasikan hasil pekerjaan mereka, dan fase memberikan penghargaan peneliti mengapresiasi semangat belajar siswa dengan tepuk tangan.

ABSTRAC: The main problem in this study is the low students learning outcomes in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu on circle subject. One way to overcome this problem is by using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type cooperative learning model that can improve the learning outcomes of class VIIIA students of  SMP Negeri 20 Palu on circle subject. The type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which was proposed in the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, consists of four components: planning, action, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type cooperative learning model could improve student learning outcomes in circle subject in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu, by learning the learning process as follows: in the phase of conveying the goals and motivating students the researcher conveyed the learning objectives to be achieved. In the phase of presenting information the researcher presented circle subject. In the phase of organizing into groups, researcher form heterogeneous groups which each group has 4-5 member. In the phase of guiding the group, the researcher provides guided the groups that discuss the problem in completing the LKPD questions. After completing the LKPD students spread to other groups with 2-3 members living in the group who agreed to share the results of their LKPD with the group that came to visit and 2 members of the group visited other groups who wanted to find and obtain information, afterwards information or answers were obtained from the group others will be checked for compliance with the group's answers. Furthermore, in the evaluation phase the researchers asked representatives to present their work, and the phase of awarding the researcher appreciated the students' enthusiasm for learning by applause.
