PENERAPAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI PERBANDINGAN DI KELAS VIIB SMP NEGERI 1 BANAWA

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan Contextual Teaching and Learning  untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perbandingan di kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Banawa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dan desainnya menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, dengan tahapannya yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjeknya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIIB yang berjumlah 28 orang siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data  dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Contextual Teaching and Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIB SMP  Negeri 1 Banawa pada materi perbandingan, dengan memuat tujuh komponen yaitu: 1) konstruktivis, 2) bertanya, 3) menemukan, 4) masyarakat belajar, 5) pemodelan, 6) refleksi, dan 7) penilaian autentik.

Abstract: The objective of this research was described the application of  Contextual Teaching and Learning to improved the learning outcomes of VIIB  students of SMP Negeri 1 Banawa in Proportion Matter. In this case, the researcher applied Class Action Research (CAR) and the design referred to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model which covered planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were 28 students. This research was divided into two cycles, each of these cycles included two meetings. Moreover, the data were collected by the researcher through observation, interview, field-note taking, and test. The result of the research showed that Contextual Teaching and Learning can improved the learning outcomes of VIIB students of SMP Negeri 1 Banawa in Proportion  through some componens: 1) constructivism, 2) questioning, 3) inquiry, 4) learning community, 5) modeling, 6) reflection and 7) authentic assesment.
