Abstract

The purpose of this study (1) to identify the values ​​contained in the Sintuwu culture in Tindoli Village. (2) To describe the efforts made by the Tindoli Village Community in preserving the Sintuwu culture. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is the people of Tindoli Village. The informants were 6 people consisting of 1 village official, 1 traditional leader, 1 religious leader, and 3 community members. Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study (1) The sintuwu culture in Tindoli Village has existed in ancient times, filled with various social activities that aim to help others for the good and welfare, both in terms of material and energy, and has good values ​​for the survival of the community. Sintuwu culture has the value of solidarity, the value of unity, the value of courtesy, the value of tolerance, and the value of democracy. (2) Efforts to preserve the Sintuwu culture, namely through culture experience, the community is directly involved in the implementation of the Sintuwu culture either with material or labor in party activities, mourning, community service, building houses or in daily work, and starting to involve the younger generation in the implementation of culture. sintuwu. Then through culture knowledge, both the government and traditional institutions convey the importance of sintuwu culture to the community through community activities and also in meetings held with the people of Tindoli Village.
