Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the application of online learning (Online) for students and solutions to the negative impact of the application of online learning (Online) for students. This research uses qualitative research, with a case study approach. The informants in this study were Lecturers and Students of the Geography Education Study Program, FKIP Tadulako University, data collection in this study used three ways, namely, Observation, Interview, and Documentation. Research results from the impact of implementing online learning (Online) for students are divided into two, namely positive and negative impacts. the positive impact is that it can be carried out anywhere and anytime, students are easy to review or relearn the material that has been taught, can hone students' IT skills, save time and others. the negative impact is the difficulty of understanding the subject matter, students are less serious in studying, lack of focus and others. The solution to the negative impact of the application of online learning (Online), namely ensuring easy access to the internet network, being in a conducive and comfortable place, instilling personality or character values ​​and spiritual values ​​to students and others.
