PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN BENTUK ALJABAR DI KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 12 PALU

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk aljabar di kelas VII B SMP Negeri 12 Palu. Desain penelitian mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk aljabar melalui fase-fase yaitu: (1) pemberian orientasi, guru menjelaskan tentang kegiatan yang dilakukan pada setiap fase pembelajaran. Selanjutnya guru menyampaikan materi. (2) think, guru memberikan LKS yang berkaitan dengan materi yang dipelajari dan meminta siswa untuk memikirkan dan menjawab pertanyaan pada LKS secara individu (3) pair, guru meminta siswa untuk bergabung dengan pasangannya dan mendiskusikan hasil pemikirannya pada fase think serta menentukan jawaban yang dianggap paling benar (4) share, guru meminta siswa untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusinya kepada teman-temannya di depan kelas dan (5) penghargaan, guru memberikan penghargaan kepada kelompok atau pasangan yang memperoleh nilai terbaik.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share that can improve student learning outcomes in the matter of addition and subtraction in the algebra of class VII B SMP Negeri 12 Palu. The study design refers to the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart is comprised of four components: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share that can improve student learning outcomes in the material addition and subtraction of algebraic form through phases, namely: (1) provision of orientation, the teacher explained about the activities undertaken in each phase of learning and serving material (2) think, the teacher provides worksheets related to the material studied and ask students to think about and answer the questions on the worksheet individually (3) pair, the teacher asks the students to join with a partner and discuss the results of his thinking on the phase think and determine answers considered the most right (4) share, the teacher asks the students to  presented the results of their discussion to his friends in front of the class and (5) the award, the teacher gives awards to groups or couples who procure best value.
