Abstract

The role of the Principal in improving teacher performance during the pandemic at SD Negeri Tinangguli. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Department of Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor Rizal, S.Ag.M.Pd.The role of the principal in his function as administrator specifically, the principal must have the ability to manage student administration, manage personal administration, manage facilities and infrastructure administration, manage financial administration also the role of the principal as a mediator who protects and directs the school organization when there are obstacles, problems or give  the new solutions from his subordinates in order to improve teacher performance by using questionnaires and interviews, the research aims to know the role of the principal in improving teacher performance.Based on the data obtained, there is a positive and significant role of principal's leadership in improving teacher performance, especially during the pandemic. This can be proven from the analysis of the correlation coefficient range, seeing from the results of the average questionnaire with teacher respondents, which is 69.43, it shows a good relationship and can also be seen from the performance of teachers who become respondents are students with an average score of 69, 18 shows that there is a good relationship between teacher performance and the role of the principal at SD Negeri Tinangguli.
