Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine what tolerance attitude is fostered at Karuna Dipa Middle School in Palu, (2) Describe the teacher's strategy in fostering tolerance for students at Karuna Dipa Palu Middle School, (3) Describe the results of Tolerance Development for Citizenship Character Development (Civic Disposition). ) Students at Karuna Dipa Middle School in Palu. The type of research used in this study is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach and the data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the study reveal that the tolerance attitude fostered at Karuna Dipa Middle School in Palu includes fostering a tolerance attitude towards differences in religion, race, ethnicity or gender. The strategy used in fostering tolerance for the development of civic disposition in students at Karuna Dipa Middle School in Palu is carried out through PPKn learning activities, student development activities and habituation in the school environment. The results reflected in the development of tolerance for the development of civic disposition of students at Karuna Dipa Middle School in Palu can be seen from the description of the civic disposition of students formed in Civics learning activities, student development activities and habituation in the school environment, namely opening minds, value and respect the opinions of others, think critically, and show courtesy.
