Abstract

This study aims to identify forms of parental communication patterns in Duyu Village, describe the characteristics of communication patterns that cause moral decadence in Duyu Village, and describe the impact of parental communication patterns that underlie children's moral decadence in Duyu Village. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were children and their parents who experienced moral decadence. and sampling using purposive sampling, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses analytical techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results showed: the forms of communication patterns of parents in the Duyu village: Permissive communication patterns, Authoritarian communication patterns (Authoritarian), the characteristics of Communication Patterns that cause moral decadence in Duyu villages include: Communication Barriers in the Family, Parents are busy with Their respective occupations, children tend to be introverted and rebellious, children tend not to be able to deal with problems with their parents, parental communication patterns have an impact on the moral decadence of children in Duyu village, including: duyu one of which is child fights, delinquency that causes material victims including theft, social delinquency that does not cause victims on the part of others, for example, drug abuse and from research results there are things that when done repeatedly have an impact on children, namely inhale glue fox and it could be that when the relationship is getting more and more dangerous, it can be fatal, it can even lead to drug use. Delinquency against status, for example, denying status as a student by playing truant or late entry.
