Abstract

The purpose of this study (1) To identify the motives behind the obstruction of the fulfillment of the voting rights of citizens in Tondo Village in the 2019 simultaneous elections descriptive. The subjects of this study were 10 informants, consisting of 1 Lurah Secretary, 3 RT Heads, 3 KPPS Committees, and 3 Tondo Residents. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that the motives behind the obstruction of the fulfillment of the voting rights of the people of Tondo Village, namely (1) Administrative Aspects, including: Invalidity of Permanent Voters List (DPT) Data Collection, Lack of Voters don't choose. (2) Socialization Aspects. Then the views of the people of Tondo Village on the legitimacy of the election organizers, namely the non-application of the secret principle in the election and the ineffective performance of the KPPS committee.
