Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation and learning outcomes with an interactive approach to Civics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Sausu. This type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subject of the research was 1 person PPKn teacher and 27 students. The technique used to collect data is observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis technique used consisted of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions/data verification. The results of this study indicate that the application of an interactive approach in Civics learning can work well because students follow the learning process carefully, students listen to questions/content related to learning, students in discussions are very active in asking, answering, refuting or giving suggestions to answers from other groups and student learning outcomes, namely based on four aspects of behavior that were assessed including expression, expressing opinions, responding to opinions and defending opinions obtained expression values ​​(74.07), expressing valuable opinions (70.37), responding to valuable opinions (77.77) , defended a valuable opinion (70.37) in Class VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Sausu.
