PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT BERBANTUAN MEDIA KARTU POSINEGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN BILANGAN BULAT SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 15 PALU

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan media kartu posinega yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yakni perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, dan masing-masing  siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran  kooperatif tipe NHT  berbantuan media kartu posinega yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat, dengan mengikuti fase-fase model pembelajaran koopertatif tipe NHT yaitu (1) menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan memotivasi siswa, (2) menyajikan informasi, (3) penomoran (numbering), (4) mengajukan pertanyaan (questioning), (5) berpikir bersama (heads together), (6) menjawab pertanyaan (answering), dan (7) memberikan penghargaan. Pada fase 1 peneliti menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan manfaat pembelajaran untuk memotivasi siswa; pada fase 2 peneliti menyajikan materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat melalui pendemonstrasian kartu posinega; pada fase 3 peneliti membagi siswa ke dalam beberapa kelompok kecil, kemudian memberi nomor kepada setiap anggota kelompok; pada fase 4 peneliti memberikan soal-soal kepada siswa dalam bentuk LKS; pada fase 5 siswa diminta untuk berpikir bersama dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada LKS dan peneliti memberikan bimbingan seperlunya; pada fase 6 peneliti menyebut 1 nomor dan siswa yang memiliki nomor tersebut mempresentasikan hasil LKS kelompoknya di depan kelas; dan pada fase 7 peneliti memberikan peghargaan kepada setiap kelompok.

Abstract: This research aim to obtain description about applying Cooperative Learning of NHT with the assist of Posinega card able to improve student concept understanding on  addition and subtraction of integer. This research was a classroom action research which refers to the Kemmis’ and Mc. Taggart’s design, that is plan, action and observation, and reflection. This research consist of two cycles, and each of the cycles was held in two meeting. The results of this research indicating that through applying of Cooperative Learning of NHT student concept understanding can increased, with the steps of Cooperative Learning of NHT (1) convey the learning purpose and motivating, (2) Presenting information, (3) numbering, (4) questioning, (5) heads together, (6) answering, and (7) giving appreciation. At the 1^th phase, researcher convey the learning purpose and benefit to motivate the students; at the 2^nd phase, researcher  presented addition and subtraction of integer through the demonstration of posinega card usage; at the 3^rd phase, researcher divided the students into some groups, and gave number to each member of group; at the 4^th phase, researcher gave task in worksheet to the students; at the 5^th phase, the students were asked to think together in doing their worksheet and researcher guided them to do that; at the 6^th phase,  researcher mentioned one number and the students who have the number presented their worksheet in front of the class; and at the 7^th phase, researcher gave appreciation to each group.
